Mondeo mk4 cutout, now won't start 2.0tdci. Over took a car and mine cut out with the 'engine malfunction' message appearing. Got recovered, put my code reader on, but no codes to display. Hi, I have the exact same issue with my 2009 1.8TDCi Mondeo. it sounds just like the above videos.. ☹️ I have replaced the glow plugs and no change..however connecting a multimeter showed there was no actual power going to the glow plugs altogether.
To start, you need 300 bar rail pressure, a crank/cam correlation signal to fire injectors and good battery voltage. I suspect you have all of these and the injectors aren't doing anything. I've seen it time and time again with customers supplying their own injectors, I've fitted them and a no start result.
I have a 2010 mondeo 2.0 tdci titanium, lastnight i put £60 of diesel in it which gives it 3/4 of a tank after driving about 20 miles the fuel light comes on and says there is no fuel on the gauge .
